LOS ANGELES- The casting team behind TLC’s ground-breaking documentary series, “My Strange Addiction,” is currently looking for all new stories for its second season. Similar to the first season of the cult hit series, each half hour episode will follow two individuals who are suffering from unusual addictions that are on the verge of taking over their lives.
While some people might turn to drugs or alcohol to deal with the stresses of everyday life, the addicts featured on “My Strange Addiction” found comfort by eating toilet paper, sleeping with a running blow dryer or wearing a fur suit. Each addict received counseling and learned how to manage their addiction.
“Many people who suffer from strange addictions have told us that they don’t know how to quit,” said Jason Bolicki, the show’s executive producer. “There’s no specific 12-step program to stop eating laundry detergent, so we try to help these individuals find new roads to recovery.”
If you or someone you know is battling an unusual addiction or behavior and would be interested in appearing on the show, please send a short description of your addiction and the impact it has on your daily life to: [email protected]
