Seth Pesek set a new school record in the 100 meter hurdles highlighting an impressive performance by the Jags at the Louisburg Triangular, April 12.
Pesek clocked 15.5 to set the new standard – beating the old record by just under two tenths of a second.
Pesek also took part in three winning relays. He teamed with Tanner Hughes, Conner Mcguire, and Andrew Quigley to win the 1600 relay.
He also worked with Hughes, Jadon Pearson-Bruce, and McGuire to win the 800 relay, and he teamed with Hughes, Bruce and McGuire to win the 400 relay.
The other gold belonged to the medley relay team of Jacob Beard, Colton Mullin, Jake Huppe, and Jacob Haywood.
For the seventh-grade boys, five Jags won gold medals. Ashton Guthrie won the discus while Austin Furnas took the 200 title.
Chase Abram won the 400 and long jump; Danny Beyer, 100; and Peighton Slifer, the 1600 title.
The 400 relay of Tony Walker, Beyer, Furnas, and Abram took gold and the medley relay of Jordan Jones, Chanze Wipf, Walker, and Abram took first.
The other gold went to the 1600 relay of Jarod Weekly, Furnas, Slifer, and Seth Greer.
