Harold Francis Zinnel, 80, of Gardner, KS, passed away March 24, 2011 at Olathe Medical Center.  Funeral Services will be 11:00 am, Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at Bruce Funeral Home, Gardner, KS, 913-856-7111.  Cremation will follow with inurnment in Gardner Cemetery at a later date.  Visitation will begin at 10:00 am before the service at the funeral home.   Condolences may be sent to www.brucefuneralhome.com Harold was born May 8, 1930 in Cylinder, IA to Walter William and Margaret Agnes (Everhard) Zinnel.  He grew up in West Bend, IA.  Harold married Clarice Ann McClure on July 15, 1952 in Lohrville, IA.  They lived in Ft. Dodge, IA and moved to Kansas in 2006.  He was a meat cutter for Hormel in Ft. Dodge, retiring in 1982 after 36 years.  Harold enjoyed bowling, fishing, hunting and taking pictures.  He was a member of the Holy Rosary Church in Ft. Dodge.  His family was very important to him.  He will be dearly missed.   He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Clarice in 2007, and brothers Melvin and Joseph.  Harold is survived by his daughters Patricia Ann Redfearn and Karen Marie Tillman of Gardner; son David Francis Zinnel of Honolulu, HI; siblings Leo Zinnel of Estherville, IA, Hazel Mahoney and Mary Ann Davis of Des Moines, IA, and Gene Zinnel of Manson, IA; seven grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
