After a stellar career at Spring Hill, Kaylee Lucas will continue to play softball at Allen County Community College this fall.
“I really liked the coaches and facilities at Allen,” said Lucas, who said she will likely major in Elementary Education. “This is a dream come true to play softball at the college level and I’m thankful for the opportunity.”
Lucas joins an Allen County team on the rise in the Eastern Jayhawk Junior College Conference. She will likely continue to play first base at the collegiate level.
“Kaylee has a great work ethic and will do well at Allen,” said Spring Hill Coach Shelly Huber. “I’ve enjoyed working with her the past four years and look forward to seeing her progress at the college level.”
For now, Lucas will focus on helping Spring Hill fare well in the Frontier League. The first test comes March 31 at Ottawa.
Kaylee is the daughter of Troy and Lisa Lucas of Spring Hill.
