The Spring Hill High School girls’ basketball team won the Wellsville Top Gun Tournament on Jan. 29, making it the second consecutive year that the Lady Broncos have brought home the title.  After rolling through the first two rounds of competition earlier in the week, the team showed their toughness by winning a hard–fought championship game against the Baldwin Bulldogs. The SHHS team was locked in a battle all game with the Bulldogs and also challenged by fouls before sinking the winning shots to lock up the tournament title. The final score was 57-54. In addition, team members Jami Hodge, Ericka Simpson and Courtney Swope were selected to the all-tournament team.
The team now has a record of 5-0 in league and 11-1 overall. The squad is on the road Friday night to take on De Soto. Submitted photo
