David Edward Livingston
David Edward Livingston, 62, of Wellsville, Kan., passed away Dec. 24, 2010, due to injuries sustained in an auto accident.
David was born August 15, 1948 in Duluth, Minn. to Donald Eugene and Arvilla (Granley) Livingston. He grew up in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and graduated from Iowa State University in 1970. David married Glory Lynne Sather on Dec. 5, 1970 in Cedar Rapids. They moved to Gardner in 1978 and to Wellsville in 2007. He was a licensed mechanical contractor and the President of BCI Mechanical, Inc in Gardner. He was highly respected in the HVAC Industry for over 40 years.
He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church and a Sanctuary choir member.
At Iowa State University, he was a member of the Lutheran fraternity, Beta Sigma Psi. He enjoyed entertaining friends, food and cooking, excelling in BBQ. David enjoyed time spent with his family, especially his five grandchildren. He will be dearly missed.
David is survived by his wife Glory of the home; his parents Donald and Arvilla Livingston of Clearbrook, Minn.; sons Brandon Livingston and wife Amy of Ottawa and Brian Livingston and wife Erica of Wellsville; brother Richard Livingston of Marshalltown, Iowa; sister Ann Bardwell-Ross of Bemidji, Minn.; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11a.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, 2010 at Faith Lutheran Church, 1320 W 15th St, Ottawa, KS.
Graveside service will be 1:30 p.m. at the Wellsville Cemetery, Wellsville, Kan. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 29, 2010 at Bruce Funeral Home, Gardner, KS, (913)856-7111. Memorial Contributions may be made to Faith Lutheran Church. Condolences may be sent to
