Hope Marie Haynes, 18, of Olathe, passed away November 12, 2010 at Olathe Medical Center. She gave the gift of life being a donor upon her death. Funeral Service will be 10:30 am Thursday, November 18, 2010 at Indian Creek Community Church, 12480 Black Bob, Olathe. Burial will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery, Spring Hill, KS. Visitation will be from 4 – 8:00 pm Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at Bruce Funeral Home, 712 S Webster, Spring Hill, KS, 913-592-2244. Hope was born June 10, 1992 in Olathe, to James Michael Haynes and Susan Renia (Hemp) Haynes. She was a senior at Olathe North High School. Hope was a member of the Science Club and was a student naturalist. Hope was busy planning her college selection, and looking forward to a career in teaching. She loved her family, friends and especially playing with her niece and rabbit Fluffy. She was a member of the Indian Creek Community Church as well as the College Church of the Nazarene. Hope was a member of the Salvation Army Center and recently became a bell ringer. She was a member of Camp Fire USA. She liked going fishing and playing family games. Hope crafted home made gifts to give away and enjoyed baking.
Hope is survived by her mother Susan Renia Haynes of Olathe, KS; her father James Michael Haynes and wife Karen of Shawnee, KS; her brother Michael Brian Haynes; her sisters Wendy Renee Haynes and Heather Lee-Lynn Barnett and husband James; step brother Quinn Paul Johnson; step sister Cassidy Bernadette Johnson; her special foreign exchange sister Pia Lena Heckmann; niece Kelstin; grandparents Andy and Barbara Haynes of Bucyrus, KS and Marjorie and Floyd Hanna of Alix, AR, and Dorothy and Gary Wayne Hemp of Evansville, IL; great grandparents Andy and Hazel Haynes of Olathe and Virgil and Doris Skinner of Bucyrus, KS.
