The Spring Hill High School Madrigals performed at Northwest Missouri State University Nov. 7.
The university, located in Maryville, Mo., is the alma mater of Georann Whitman, director of the Madrigals. The group made a guest performance at the school’s Northwest Tower Choir concert.
Whitman, a native of Maryville, directed a series of Madrigal songs including an a capella version of the SHHS Alma Mater. The group was accompanied by Kym Gibbs who serves as pianist and coach of the SHHS choral program. The select 26 member Madrigals performs five school concerts, participates in music competitions as well as several performances in Spring Hill and in the Kansas City metro area.
