In their season finale, Gardner Edgerton High School freshman football squad posted a hard-fought 38-36 win at home versus rival Blue Valley, Oct. 27.
GEHS trailed 22-16 at halftime but rallied for 22 second-half points to take the victory.
Scoring second-half touchdowns were Traevohn Wrench and Jared Hobby.
Providing up front running room were offensive linemen Chris Oathout, Logan Powell, Jacob Moore, and Dustin Williams.
Meanwhile, the defense stopped Blue Valley’s two-point conversion attempt with one minute left in regulation.
“Our defense made two tough goal line stands,” said Coach Jason Sutton. “Our players showed great improvement throughout the season.”
