Nathan Stiles, a Spring Hill High School senior, died early this morning from injuries sustained during a football game last night — Oct. 28 — against Osawatomie High School.
According to school officials, the student became unconscious the game and was taken by life flight to the University of Kansas Medical Center.
Christine Splichal, school communications director, said the district’s primary concern right now is for the Stiles family and the students and staff at the high school.
“Our high school crisis plan is activated for staff and students,” she said. “It’s a very difficult morning.”
