Virginia Ginger Anita King, 66, of Gardner, KS, passed away September
15, 2010, at Kansas City Hospice House.
Ginger was born January 31, 1944, in Kansas City, KS, to Paul Holland and
Lucille Rozella (Burton) Nelson. She graduated from High School in Topeka.
Ginger married Willard R. King on October 29, 1971 in Olathe, KS. She
was a homemaker. She was an office manager for the family business, W.R.
King, Contracting Co. in Overland Park, KS. They moved from Overland Park to
Gardner in 1996. Ginger was a member of the Sports Car Club of America,
and enjoyed racing. She painted, worked with stained glass and was an active
crafter. Ginger loved to cook for her family and friends. She enjoyed
raising horses. She will be dearly missed.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister Sandra Kay Nelson.
Ginger is survived by her husband Willard of the home; children Darren
Watson of KC, KS, Gary King of San Fransico, CA, Paul King of KC, MO, Eric
King of Topeka, KS, Kim Markham of Ozawkie, KS and Kelley Van Goethem of
Overland Park,KS; ten grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; and Aunt Betty
Morris of Clinton, MO.
Visitation will be from 6 û 8:00 pm
on Tuesday, September 21, 2010, at Bruce Funeral Home, Gardner,
