The Gardner Lions Club is planning a pancake breakfast before the annual Johnson County Fair Parade on Aug. 7.

“We’re cooking for you on parade day, so come on over. Eat a great meal, chat with family friends and neighbors and then go enjoy a fantastic parade. How could a person have a more pleasant way to spend a Saturday morning? Your support of the Pancake Breakfast helps us to continue support to many, many needs and projects throughout the Gardner community.” Lions Club member Evans Dunlap said.

The Lions will be serving the traditional pancake breakfast from 6 a.m. to 10 a.m. on Aug. 7 at the Sacred Heart Parish Center at 122 E. Warren St. in Gardner.

The breakfast will be an “all-you-can-eat” menu featuring pancakes, sausage, ham and a drink. The meal cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 10. Kids under the age of two eat for free. To save a dollar on an adult meal, see the Lions ad in the Gardner News or online at eclubhouse.org/sites/GardnerKS.

Dunlap said residents should check out the website to learn more about the Lions Club.

“Browse through the various categories such as upcoming events projects and pictures, and of course, we are always interested in hearing from someone who may be interested in becoming a Lion.”
