Lee Wayne Sparks, 68 years old of Hermitage Mo. went to be with the Lord on July 4, 2010.  Lee was born to Willard Lee and Claudine Mae Sparks in Robinson, Ill. on May 5, 1942 in Robinson, Ill.  Lee grew up in Palestine, Ill. & graduated from Palestine High School in 1960.  He served in the National Guard for 4 years then went to work on a missile base in Altas Ok. where he met Madge Elaine Stuart of Wakita, Ok.  They were married on October 20, 1961 and spent the next few years working on missle bases throughout the United States.  In 1969 they settled in the Kansas City area where Lee spent the next 40 years in the underground construction industry, first selling equipment then as a manager for construction companies.  Lee retired in 2008 at Pomme de Terre Lake in Hermitage, Mo.  Lee was preceded in death by his parents.
Lee is remembered by his wife Madge, of the home, son’s Randy & Scott, daughters in law Audrey & Peggy, grand kids Cassie, Drake, Ashley & Lindsey, brother Joe, sister-in-law Darla, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held at Lakeside Assembly of God in Pittsburg, Mo. on Saturday July 10th at 10:00am.
Graveside services will be at Gardner Cemetery in Gardner, Ks.  on Sunday July 11th at 2:00pm.
A visitation & celebration of Lee’s life will follow immediately at New Life Community Church in Gardner, Ks.
