Two Gardner Edgerton High School wrestlers brought home medals from the 52nd annual Newton Wrestling Tournament of Champions last week.
Dustin Carstens, wrestling in the 170-pound weight class, and Andrew Sprague, wrestling in the 220-pound weight division, finished in fifth at the tournament in Newton, Kan.
Other competitors from GEHS included Drake Taysom at 106-pounds, Matt Klaurens at 120-pounds, Dylan McDonald at 126-pounds, Tyler Norton at 132-pounds, Kyle Cunningham at 145-pounds, Justin Sikes at 195-pounds, and Edrick Rouse at 285-pounds.

The Blazer wrestling squad next travels to the Holton (Kan.) Invitational Tournament on Jan. 24.
