Youth ball club finishes summer season with 13-3 record

The Blazers nine-and-under baseball team recently wrapped up first place honors in the Prairie league standings with a 13-3 record.
The league included teams from Gardner, Olathe, Louisburg, Wellsville, and Paola.
“The team worked hard and improved all season,” said Coach Robert Davis. “We grew as a team, took the league title and had a good performance at state.”
At state, the Blazers won their first bracket game and they pushed the number one seeded team to the brink before bowing in a close battle.
In addition to league play, the Blazers tookthird place in the Olathe city baseball championships.
Playing for the league champion Blazers were Cody Davis, Kollin GretenCord, Brayden Fouts, Eli Jensen, Austin Buie, Kendall Crowell, Liam Strahan, Bru Haas, Ozzy Poage, and Eli Blazic.
