Woman injured in Edgerton shooting

A woman is hospitalized following a shooting in Edgerton on Sept. 3.

According to the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, two women were arguing inside their residence about 6 p.m. when one of the women pulled a handgun and shot the other in the neck.

The victim was taken to Overland Park Regional Medical Center.  Her condition was not known at press time.

The suspect was taken into custody for questioning.

Police have not yet released the names of the women.

More information will be posted as it becomes available.

The incident took place in the 200 block of Nelson Street.
