The Wheatridge Middle School eighth grade boys varsity basketball squad needed an OT period but finally turned back Baldwin, 51-40, Jan. 28.
Andrew Brautman sent the game into OT connecting on a three-pointer with only three seconds left in regulation.
WMS dominated ending the game with an 11-0 run. “I’m so proud of the kids never give up attitude,” said coach Jason O’Connor. “They kept playing hard and fortunately some things went our way to seal the win.”
Ben Schneider led the way with 20 points. Lyle Sullivan had nine and Conner Gaines, five points.
