WMS football squad drops to 4-2 after loss

Quarterback Nolan Beets rushed for 172 yards and three touchdowns leading the Wheatridge Middle School eighth-grade boys varsity football squad to a big home win versus Ottawa, Oct. 4.
Other touchdowns came from Tre Jackson, David Collins and Blake Leon.
Jackson also completed a 42-yard scoring strike to Kaden Loring.
Leading the defense were Andrew Sprague, Jackson and Dylan Wright.
Jackson had a pick six and Beets and Loring also hauled in interceptions.
WMS concludes its season at rival PRMS at 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 11 at the district stadium.
