After a stellar career at Gardner Edgerton High School, Blazer senior Dustin Williams will continue his wrestling career at the University of Nebraska next fall.
Last week, Williams became the first GEHS wrestler to sign a letter of intent to compete in Division I athletics.
“He’s a kid of great character,” said Coach Matt Yeamans. “A great student and his approach in the practice room is the same in everything he does.”
Last season, Williams posted a perfect 36-0, including a second-straight 6A state wrestling title. He now owns titles in the 145-pound. and 160-pound weight division. During that time, Williams never surrendered a take down. He is a four-time All-American.
