Westbound traffic restriction on U.S. 56 until July 9

Westbound traffic on U.S. 56 Highway will be down to one lane until approximately July 9.

Construction at the Moonlight Road and 56 Highway intersection requires that westbound lanes be restricted so work crews can install a right turn for westbound traffic.

Eastbound traffic will also continue to experience construction-related lane reductions intermittently.

City officials are urging drivers to consider using the Interstate 35 exit at Gardner Road during peak commute times between now and July 9.
