VanVleet, Meek qualify for state tennis meet

The Blazer number one doubles team of Micah VanVleet and Dylan Meek qualified for the state tennis meet with a third place effort in a 6A regional last week.
VanVleet and Meek posted a 3-1 record to finish third. The Blazer duo defeated Olathe North 6-0, 6-2 and then Lawrence, 6-1 ,6-4. The team also defeated the Olathe Northwest number two squad by a score of 2-6, 6-1, 6-2. Their only loss went to the number one doubles team from Olathe Northwest by a score of 1-6, 2-6.
Although not qualifying for state, the number two doubles, Jeff Swartz and Cameron Miller, posted a 14-8 overall record this season. Brad Allen and Joey Reindl had identical 5-16 records in singles competition.
