Van Vleet, Meeks lead Blazer tennis effort

Micah Van Vleet and Dylan Meeks led the Gardner Edgerton High School Blazer tennis effort in competition at Washburn Rural in a quadrangular last week.
At Washburn, the Blazer duo posted a perfect 4-0 record to win the championship. They defeated Olathe East High School and Topeka Seaman.
Colton Mullin and Aaron Van Vleet had a 2-2 record, also in number-one doubles.
Grant Hanson finished seventh in number-one singles, posting a 2-2 record.
Joel Rains and Jacob Lathrum had a 2-2 record, and took fourth in number-two doubles play.
At the Blazer quadrangular April 1, Van Vleet and Meeks teamed up for a 2-1 record with wins against Olathe East and Bonner Springs.
Mullins and Aaron Van Vleet also had a 2-1 record in number-two doubles.
Hanson had a 2-1 record in number-one singles. Cameron Miller was 0-3 in number-one singles play.
