USD 231 presented check by Gov. Brownback

A check for $17,000 was presented to USD 231 by Kansas Governor Sam Brownback July 8 at the Olathe Advanced Technical Center.
The district received $1,000 for each student who completed their technical certification as Certified Nurses Aids.

  1. This is awesome. Really brings home the message that school funding is not something that is financed by the government, but granted as an indulgence by his imperial governorship.

    Reminds me of Walmart and how they give $1,000 maybe to the teachers for supplies while all along they have had the citizens of Gardner pay millions of dollars for development costs thru the TIF they got that they should have paid for and could certainly afford to pay more the citizens of this town since they are the biggest retailer in the WORLD. Again, thank your worthless politicians and your School Board and County for approving that TIF who had the authority to nix that TIF. I hope all citizens are very familiar with what Walmart and the city of Mission have done to the citizens of Roeland Park…………gets more slimy by the day.
