The Gardner Edgerton School District has again received a national school communications award from the prestigious National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA).  The NSPRA Publication and Media Awards Program recognizes exemplary public relations activities, programs and projects.
This award goes to the Gardner Edgerton School District 2012-2013 Horizon quarterly magazines.  The Horizon was deemed at the top of its class in the specific judging categories that reflect the four-steps of a quality public relations program: research, analysis/planning, communication/implementation and evaluation. Community relations director LeAnn Northway is responsible for the magazine and other district communication projects.
Over the past five years, awards presented by the NSPRA to Gardner Edgerton School District include Excellence in Communication for the State of the District Annual Report publication, recruitment CD project, parent handbook and district newsletter.
The NSPRA has been providing school communication training, products and services to school leaders throughout the United States, Canada, and the U.S. Dept. of Defense Dependents Schools worldwide.  NSPRA’s mission is to advance education through responsible public relations and communication that leads to success for all students.
