USD 231 contracts with demographer

The USD 231 board of education approved a $12,000 contract with Chris Gralapp for demographic and enrollment services during a board meeting on May 6.
Gralapp will be charged with projecting preliminary enrollment numbers for all school buildings, drafting 5-year enrollment projections for the district, and updating future projections for staffing needs and the projections for the Trail Ridge Middle School.
The district has contracted Gralapp’s services for the last give years. Last  year, USD 231 paid $13,000 for his services. Next year’s contract proposal was less expensive due to less anticipated demographic work with the opening of Grand Star Elementary.
