University updates

Avila University
Megan Calhoon, Ashley Flowers, Kara Koehler, Angela Putnam, Mia Saunier and Taylor Zimmerman, all of Gardner, were named to the Dean’s List for the spring semester of 2013 at Avila University.  Candidates must possess a grade point average of at least 3.5.

Hutchinson Community College
Kylee Bonham,Gardner, has been named to the spring 2013 semester Vice President’s Honor Roll at Hutchinson Community College. Bonham maintained a grade point average between 3.5 and 3.9 for the semester to make the roll.

Rockhurst University
Ashleigh McDaniel; of Gardner, and Brandon Haverkamp, of Spring Hill were both named to the spring 2013 semester Dean’s List at Rockhurst University.  This honor recognizes students who have achieved a grade-point average of 3.5 or above.

Rockhurst University
Rockhurst University awarded more than 700 degrees at its 93rd annual commencement ceremony held this past May at the Municipal Auditorium in Kansas City, Mo.
Brent Haverkamp, earned a Master of Business Administration, and a major of MBA Fifth Year.  Danae Young, earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and majored in Nursing. Both Haverkamp and Young are from Spring Hill, Kan.  Jeffrey Jones, of Wellsville, Kan., earned a Master of Education, and majored in Education.

Taylor University
Ruth Burrell was one of nearly 500 students who received degrees during Taylor University’s Commencement exercises held on May 18, 2013. Burrell, a resident of Spring Hill, Kan. received a BS degree in Professional Writing.

University of Saint Mary
University of Saint Mary Academic Vice President Dr. Bryan Le Beau has announced the Spring 2013 Dean’s Honor List. The following USM students ended the semester with a grade point average of 3.5 or better:  Regina Ridgway and Sadie Schnetzler, both of Spring Hill, Kan.
