Eastern Kansas League coaches took notice of the efforts of the Gardner Edgerton High School lady Blazer basketball team. The coaches recently named three Blazers, Kelsey Leffert, Cassidy Androff and Angeliece Tucker, to its elite post-season All-Eastern Kansas League squad.
Leffert was a second team selection. She averaged 8.6 points per game and was one of the league’s best defenders.
“Kelsey really played well, especially the last half of the season,” said GEHS Coach Kelly Hilgenkamp.
Leffort also led the Blazer team in defense.
Androff and Tucker received honor mention league honors.
Androff averaged 11.6 points per game and was one of the better post players in the conference.
Tucker averaged 8.7 points per game and led the team in outside shooting.
Their efforts helped GEHS to an 8-13 record.
