Teresa “Terri” Lynn Tunison

 

 

Teresa “Terri” Lynn Tunison, 62, of Olathe, Kan. passed away Nov. 20, 2012 at Kansas City Hospice House.

 

Terri was born May 1, 1950 in Kansas City, Mo. to Eugene “Shanty” and Juanita (Howery) Lattner. She grew up in Olathe and graduated from Olathe High School in 1968.

 

Terri briefly lived in Las Vegas, Nev. where she married William “Bill” Arthur Tunison of Gardner on Oct. 12, 1971. Terri was a homemaker who had also worked as a secretary for Simmons Gun in Olathe, the Johnson County Attorney’s Office, and the Clark County District Attorney’s Office in Las Vegas.

 

She loved God, enjoyed gardening and cared for many of God’s creatures. Terri was creative and artistic, helping with the Neighborhood Watch float for the Old Settler’s Parade for two years. She will be dearly missed by family and friends.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Bill in 2011 and her brother, Daniel Lattner. Terri is survived by her daughter, Katie Tunison, of Dallas, Texas.

 

Visitation will be held from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Nov. 27, 2012 at Bruce Funeral Home, Gardner, KS (913)856-7111. Private family inurnment at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Olathe, KS. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wayside Waifs of Kansas City, Kan. or the Wounded Warrior Project. Condolences may be left at
