SH senior Lucas Mapes qualifies for state tennis

Spring Hill senior Lucas Mapes will be making a trip to the state tennis tournament after qualifying at a 4A home regional, May 3-4. Aleman competes at state tennis tourney

Gardner Edgerton’s Samantha Aleman posted a 1-2 record at the 6A state tennis meet Oct. 14 in Wichita. First round action found Aleman defeating an opponent from Maize, 6-0, 6-1.  She lost a 6-0, 6-0 decision to Blue Valley North in the second round and ended the tourney with a tough 9-6 loss to Manhattan.
