T. Harold “Bunnee” Rankin, 77, of Gardner, passed away Sept. 25, 2012 at his home.
Harold was born May 13, 1935 to George M and Ethel Marie (Moore) Rankin. He was a life-long Gardner area resident and served in the U.S. Army. Harold married Carolyn Hoffine on May 14, 1954 in rural Gardner. He was a respected home builder for 50 plus years. Harold was a member of the Gardner Church of Christ. He loved his family and friends and will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings: Velma Campbell, Howard Rankin, Marcy Lawrence Edwards, George Rankin, Jr. and Dorothy “Deannie” Kelleher.
Harold is survived by his wife, Carolyn of the home; children: Glenda and Robbie Grogan, Gardner, Kan., Paula and Marty James, Bunceton, Mo. and Brad and Nancee Rankin, Gardner, Kan.; eight grandchildren: Landon, Kalena, Adrienne, Caleb, Jordan, Chelsie, Dylan and Isabella; six great-grandchildren; sister, Merle Winters and brother, Homer Rankin, both of Gardner.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Sept. 29, 2012 at the Gardner Church of Christ, 158 W Park, Gardner, KS. Burial follows at Gardner Cemetery. Visitation will be held 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Sept. 28, 2012 at Bruce Funeral Home, 106 S Center, Gardner, KS 66030.
