SWJCEDC president retiring at end of year

Tom Riederer, president of the Southwest Johnson County Economic Development Corporation (SWJCEDC) announced that he will retire at the end of 2014.
The SWJCEDC is a cooperative effort between the cities of Gardner, Edgerton and the Johnson County Airport Commission to attract economic growth to the area.
According to a press release, the SWJCEDC board has initiated a search for Riederer’s replacement.
The new president will be tasked with managing the routine affairs of the SWJCEDC, coordinating with member city and county governments and school districts, chambers of commerce and other groups, and developing and executing programs to attract new businesses and help existing employers prosper and grow.
