Sutton files to replace Kiegerl

Bill Sutton, Republican, has filed to represent the 43rd House District, which includes Gardner, Edgerton and parts of Olathe and Spring Hill in the Kansas House. Rep. Mike Kiegerl, R-Olathe, currently holds the seat.
Kiegerl has endorsed Sutton’s candidacy.
Sutton has lived in Gardner since 1998. He is the founding chairman of the Gardner-Edgerton City Central Committee, youth leader of the Divine Mercy Parish, Immediate Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, and a husband and father of three. He is a writer and steelworker at Steel & Pipe Supply in New Century.
To date, no other candidates have filed to run to represent the 43rd District. The filing deadline is June 1, 2012. The primary election will be Aug. 7, and the general election is set for Nov. 6.
