Pam Stranathan, USD 231 superintendent, was one of 400 award recipients in the Kansas Association of School Boards Leadership Academy. The awards are based on participation in KASB sponsored training and leadership workshops throughout the year.
“KASB provides great opportunities for Kansas school leaders to further their education and I am pleased to see our superintendent participating in these offerings,” said Rob Shippy, board president. “USD 231 puts great emphasis on the importance of professional development and training to our staff, and I applaud Mrs. Stranathan for taking the initiative to continue her professional education and training as well. Ultimately, our district and students are the true beneficiaries of this work.”
The KASB Leadership Academy offers workshops throughout the year which school board members and superintendents are encouraged to attend as a means to continue their education to help them become better district leaders.
Leadership recognition is based on a point scale.
