Spring Hill senior running back Tyshawn Straw was recently voted Tri County Spotlight football offensive player of the year.
Straw rushed 229 times this season for 1050 yards and eleven touchdowns. He had 1,158 total yards of offense.
He also caught five passes for 108 yards and a touchdown.
“Ty worked hard in the offseason to prepare for his senior year,” said Coach Jason Feeback. “He played with so much heart and attitude. He is a blessing to coach.”
Straw helped Spring Hill to a 5-4 overall record. The Broncos were 5-1 in the Frontier league and won their first conference title since 1990.
The Broncos went into the final week of district play with a 1-1 mark before falling to eventual 4A state champion Bishop Miege.
