Starling plays in high school all-star baseball game at Wrigley Field

Bubba Starling, GEHS senior, participated in the Under Armour All-American High School All-Star game at Wrigley Field in Chicago, Ill., Aug. 14.

Starling was one of only 36 high school all-stars nationwide invited to play in the elite game. He started centerfield and batted third in the line-up for the National team. The Nationals dropped a 7-0 decision to the American All-Star squad.

Offensively, Starling walked, grounded out to third base, and flew out to right field in three at bats.

As a pitcher, Starling hurled a scoreless eighth inning. After surrendering a base hit, he struck out the side.

With summer baseball complete, Starling now focuses his effort on guiding the Blazers to an EKL football title.
