Starling joins National 18-under baseball roster

After a two-week trial, Bubba Starling earned a spot on the elite 20-man 18-under National baseball team roster, July 4.

Starling and his teammates begin their quest for a gold medal at the 2010 IBAF AAA 18-under world junior championships this week in New York.

Team USA play the Greater NY Alliance All-Stars starting July 6 in Brooklyn, NY. The two teams play a five-game exhibition at various stadiums in the NY area.

The 18-under team travels to Minnesota for nine exhibition games before starting the 2010 IBAF AAA 18-u world junior championships July 23-Aug. 1, in Thunder Bay, Canada.

Starling stroked a two-RBI fifth inning triple, July 2, to improve the Blue squad to a 3-1 win versus the Red squad in the 18-u National Team trials.

On July 3, Starling hit the only home run of the 18-u trial games to help the Blue squad to a 6-1 win versus the Red squad in the final game of the 18-u National Team trials.
