Spring Hill Broncos lose Sub State final

Struggling to find an offensive rhythm, the Spring Hill High School boys varsity basketball team dropped a 57-24 decision to Paola in a 4A sub-state final match on March 8.
Early on, Spring Hill kept it close, trailing 15-9 after one quarter, and 34-19 at intermission. However, the Broncos managed just five, second half points and saw the season come to a close.
First quarter scoring came from Tyus Heinrich, Danny Hodge, and Drew Cygan. Hodge added a trey in the second stanza, and Ryker Johnson had four points, but that was as close as Spring Hill would rally.
Despite the loss, Spring Hill got six points from Hodge and five from Cygan and Johnson. Chris Bybee had four points. Heinrich and Trevor Cluck had two points apiece.
