Specht competes in Junior Olympics

Devlin Specht, a Gardner Edgerton High School freshman, turned in an impressive performance at an AAU Junior Olympic track meet in Des Moines last weekend.
In the pole vault, Specht tied his personal best and earned second place with a pole vault clearance of 11-feet. He took third place in the javelin with a personal best of 154-feet, 3-inches.
He finished in 12th place in the triple jump with a leap of 36-feet, 2-inches and 16thth in the long jump with a leap of 18 and three-quarters-inches.
