Jack Smith continues to excel on the senior track and field circuit.
Smith, 57 of Spring Hill, brought back silver medals in the shot put and 400 meters from the Sunflower State games in Topeka last weekend. He tossed the shot put 32-feet 8-inches and ran the 400 meters in 1 minute 28 seconds. He placed fourth in the 100 meter crossing the finish line in 16 seconds.
The meet was held at Topeka Seaman High School and is one of the largest multi-sport amateur events in the nation.
Smith serves as Senior Pastor of Antioch Community Baptist Church in Spring Hill.
Smith has been invited to the State games in Nebraska in August, but is uncertain whether he will attend.
