Sirens to be tested this afternoon

Johnson County Division of Emergency Management, in coordination with the National Weather Service, will be conducting the monthly test of the outdoor warning siren system as scheduled today, Jan. 4,  at 11 a.m.  The outdoor warning siren system is tested on the first Wednesday of every month at 11 a.m.

  1. Oooops somebody missed one….here, allow me:

    I can’t believe the low-life’s and backstabbers dare waste electricity that we taxpayers shell out day in and day out to the greedy and worthless politicians to test those pesky sirens. Why do I have to hear that noise that reminds me of the tax dollars spent on electricity to run those sirens? Once a month I have to be reminded of all the tax dollars the greedy politicians are spending on a public warning system. The kick backs they MUST be getting from the siren manufacturers are lining the pockets of the backstabbing and worthless cronies in city hall.
