SHHS’ Clark to play in KS Shrine Bowl

Spring Hill High School alum Kainon Clark was recently selected to play in the 2014 Shrine Bowl. The game, which pits football players from across the state against one another, will be on Wednesday July 26, at Carney Stadium in Pittsburg, Kansas.
Only 68 Kansas players are invited to participate in the game each year. Clark, who played offensive line and defensive end for Spring Hill, was selected by a mail ballot of more than 32 sports media professionals and the 2014 Shrine Bowl coaching staff.
“Kainon has a great passion for the game and has been a big part of our success the last two years,” said Coach Anthony Orrick. “He will be a great addition to the East squad.”
Clark has signed to play football at Coffeyville Community College this fall.
