SHHS beats Louisburg

Using a balanced scoring attack, the Spring Hill High School  boys varsity basketball team turned back Louisburg 51-44 at home Feb. 15.
SH trailed 18-12 early, but found its stride to earn a 24-24 tie by halftime.
The Broncos had a three- point lead at the end of three quarters to seal the Frontier League win.
“We played with good energy throughout the game and shot the ball better,” said Coach Rick O’Neil.  “It was a good win for us.”
Freshman Ivan Hughes led the way with 14 points while Matt Smith added 10 points. Niles Kahn had six points, Lake Johnson, five points, Danny Hodge, five, Kainon Clark, four, Chris Bybee, three and Sam Jesberg, two.
Now 4-6, 7-11 overall, Spring Hill hosts Baldwin Feb. 19 and then travels to Ottawa Feb. 21.  Regional play begins Feb. 27 at either Baldwin or De Soto.
