Sheriff’s office reunites livestock with owner

The Johnson County Sheriff’s Office found livestock in the rural part of the county that had been separated from their owner.
A gray Quarter horse mare and her buckskin-colored foal were discovered near 207th last weekend. Two days later, a young brown and black-colored Suffix lamb was located in the same area.
The sheriff’s office cared for the animals until the owners were found on July 23. Had the rightful owner not been found, the animalswould have eventually been auctioned.
