Shawnee man suffers injuries in rollover crash

A 26-year-old man was injured following a pursuit that started in Olathe and ended near Gardner.
The accident took place about 11:47 p.m. on Sept. 3.
According to the Highway Patrol, Christopher A. Moore, Shawnee, was involved in pursuit between College Boulevard and 167th Street on southbound Interstate 35.
The 2001 Nissan Maxima entered the grass median, returned to the road, crossing all lanes of traffic.
The vehicle then rolled twice, trapping the driver.
Moore was taken to Overland Park Regional for treatment of injuries.
The extent of his injuries was not known at press time.
He was not wearing a seatbelt, according to the highway patrol.
It was the second rollover crash in that area in as many weeks.
A 19-year-old Roeland Park man has died from injuries sustained in a one-vehicle accident near Gardner on Aug. 24.
The accident happened about 8:15 a.m.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, Brandon T. Lawson was southbound on Interstate 35 just south of the weigh station when he lost control of his 2006 Kia.
The vehicle ran off of the east side of the highway and struck a drainage grate before going airborne and rolling several times.
The vehicle landed on its wheels in the northbound lanes of I-35.
Lawson was taken to Overland Park Regional Medical Center where he later died from his injuries.
He was not wearing a seatbelt, according to the highway patrol.
