Spring Hill Middle School and Spring Hill High School students will soon have access to MacBook Air computers.
USD 230 board members approved the purchase of computers for all students in grades 6-12 during a Dec. 8 board meeting. The computers will be purchased using leftover funds from the 2011 bond issue.
“Putting this learning tool in the hands of students opens up opportunities for academic growth and engagement,” district superintendent, Bart Goering said in a press release. “There’s no doubt in my mind that this program will enhance students’ learning experiences, and ensure our students are college, career and life ready. In the coming weeks and months, the focus will be a successful deployment of this program by our teachers and staff.”
