Severe weather warning test rescheduled

It’s atypical to hear the sounds of silence at 11 a.m. on the first Wednesday of the month in Johnson County.
But such was the case today as county emergency management officials canceled the monthly test of the warning siren system due to the potential of severe weather in the area. There is an 80 percent chance for showers and thunderstorms this afternoon, and a slight chance for thunderstorms this evening. The temperature is expected to peak at 65 degrees.
In conjunction with the National Weather Service, April’s monthly warning test has been rescheduled for 11 a.m. on April 11.
