Season comes to a close for Blazers

The season recently came to a close for the Blazers 14-and-under baseball team with participation in the AA State Tournament at the Mid America Sports complex in Shawnee.
In first round action, the Blazers turned back the Atchison Red Ravens 12-8. The Blazers concluded state play with a 9-1 loss to the Olathe Blues and an 11-4 loss to the Salina Rangers.
The Blazers competed in a 30-game schedule with tournament stops in Blue Valley, Topeka, Lawrence, and 3-and-2 stadium.
Top pitching performances came from Jared Highfill, Zach Rempel, Zach Biddison, Carter Beil, Jesse May, and Nolan Quiring.
Playing for the Blazers were Carter Beil, Zach Biddison, Jared Highfill, Jesse May, Isaac Perkins, Jackson McClain, Brady Scott, Zach Rempel, Jake Voge, Nolan Quiring and Tim Wood.
Coaching the team were Dave Highfill, Steve Scott, Greg Rempel and Tim Wood, Sr.
