Spring Hill High School sophomore Sierra Sanderson was recently voted to the 4A All-State Softball Team as a catcher.
Sanderson helped the Lady Broncos reach state for the first time since 2004. Spring Hill defeated Paola 7-2 to win the 4A Regional, but lost a heartbreaking 2-1 game to Baldwin in the first round of state.
“Sierra was one of the hardest working girls we have and definitely deserves the honor,” said Coach Shelly Huber. “She has been steady for us behind the plate for two years and did an awesome job as our leadoff hitter as well.”
Spring Hill was 20-2 on the season and went 18-1 during the regular season.
