Ronald “Ronnie” Lee Luttrell

Ronald “Ronnie” Lee Luttrell, 62, of Spring Hill, Kan., passed away July 19, 2013 at his home.

Ron was born Nov. 27, 1950, in Bonner Springs, Kan. to Enoch and Vera Nadine (McDowell) Luttrell. He grew up in De Soto, Kan and graduated from De Soto High School in 1968.

Ron married Diana M. Bichelmeyer in 1972 in Lenexa, Kan. They moved to Olathe, and then moved to Spring Hill in 1976.

Ron was a SGT in the United States Army during Vietnam. He was a member of Local Laborers Union #1290 for 30 years. He worked for Realm Construction and retired in 2010.

He enjoyed being with his family and loved to fish and hunt mushrooms. Ron will be remembered for his loyal work ethic.

He is preceded in death by his parents and siblings Lonnie, Gale and Dale Luttrell, and Mary Choate.

Ron is survived by his wife, Diana; children Teresa Huffman and husband Richard of Wellsville, Kan. and Ryan Luttrell and wife Jamie of Hebron, Neb.; brothers, Harold Luttrell, Olathe and Darrell Luttrell, Gardner; and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., July 24, 2013 at Bruce Funeral Home, 712 S Webster, Spring Hill, KS (913)592-2244. Burial will follow at Spring Hill Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., before the service at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Olathe Hospice. Condolences may be left at www.brucefuneralhome.com.
