The City of Gardner is accepting applications for three positions on the Planning Commission whose terms are expiring in May 2016 and July 2016. The appointments are for a three-year term. The Planning Commission for the City of Gardner, Kansas is a citizen body that reviews development proposals for compliance with the City’s adopted plans and development policies, receives reports from City staff, conducts public hearings, and makes recommendations to the City Council. Preferred candidates for appointment shall be: at least 18 years of age or older, a registered voter, and a resident of the City of Gardner, or be otherwise connected to the community in terms of property ownership, business affairs or by offering a unique and necessary expertise.
